THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS:
Drug is indicated in adjunctive therapy of the following conditions:
- superficial veins diseases, e.g.: phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, varices of legs,
- posttraumatic states: haematoma, bruises, swellings,
- prevention and treatment of hypertrophic scars and keloids.
POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
Drug is indicated for the topical use on the skin. Apply on the affected area 3 - 10 cm of gel, depending on the extent of disease, and gently massage for several minutes. Use 1-3 times a day.
Children: Drug should not be used by children.
Duration of treatment: Duration of treatment depends on the type of disease, the size of affected area and the effectiveness of treatment. In case of acute swelling after blunt trauma is recommended to use the drug for up to 10 days and in the treatment of superficial veins diseases – 1 to 2 weeks.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Drug should not be used:
- in hypersensitivity to the active substance – heparin sodium or any of the excipients,
- in case of lesions of unknown origin and in the places with purulent infections or extensive wounds,
- if patient has open wounds, drug should not be used due to the presence of ethanol,
- on mucous membranes and around the eyes; if gel gets into eyes or on mucous membrane it must be removed by rinsing with plenty of water.
QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION:
Active substance: heparin sodium (Heparinum natricum) 1000 j.m./g.
Excipients: ethanol 96%, carbomer 5984, trolamine, lavender oil, purified water.
